Kaii HIGASHIYAMA  -  1908-1999      

Kaii Higashiyama was born in Yokohama. In 1908 he graduated from Tokyo School of Fine Arts. From 1933 until 1935 he studied in Germany. In 1965 he was appointed as a member of Japan Art Academy and in 1969 he received the Order of Cultural Merit.
