Henmi Takashi was born in Wakayama. He graduated from the Tokyo Municipal Higher Crafts School. The artist exhibited with Sosaku Hanga exhibitions in the 20s and 30s. Henmi Takashi made a series "Shin Tokyo hyakkei" (Views of New Tokyo). As he could not make a living from his prints, he worked as an accountant.
