Horin Fukuoji is a well-known contemporary Japanese artist. He is best known for series of works on the Himalayas. Together with his son, Kazuhiko Fukuoji, also an artist, he visited Nepal several times. The Kantei, the former official residence of the Japanese Prime Minister, hosts a work by Horin Fukuoji showing the Fuji.
