Ferdinand Wolfgang Flachenecker was born in Southern Germany in 1792. He worked as a painter and lithographer. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagn/Denmark. Later he settled in Munich which remained the center of his artistic career. In 1826/27 he spent some time in Vienna.
