Aaron ARROWSMITH - 1750-1833
Aaron Arrowsmith was an English cartographer and geographer who
had founded a leading map-making and
publishing house. Famous was his London Atlas.
The business was continued by his sons and
by his nephew John Arrowsmith (1790-1873). Aaron Arrowsmith
was also a founding member
of the Royal Geographic Society. The maps of Arrowsmith had
an excellent reputation for their accuracy.
