Pierre Francois Laurent was born in Marseille in 1739 and died in paris in 1809. Best known is his series of copper engravings "Musée francais, recueil complet des tableaux, statues et bas-reliefs qui composent la collection nationale". This work was started in 1803 and later finished by his son.
