Gengyo MIYAGI  -  1817 - 1880      from Edo to Meiji

Gengyo Miyagi's prints are characterized by the transition from the Edo to the Meiji period. After the arrival of the first foreigners in Japan, Gengyo Miyagi participated in the production of yokohama-e - woodblock prints with depictions of foreigners.
