The art prints by Wen Mujiang deal with the contrasts and cultural changes in today's China. The booming economy in the 1990s and at the beginning of the new millenium created rapid social and environmental changes that set in only twenty years after the end of the Cultural Revolution under Mao Zedong. Wen Mujiang's woodcut prints are interesting works of art and documents of today's China with a message.

Two new landscapes in large format in the style of designs like 'Dongchuan Impressions' and two smaller formats dealing with a different subject and in nearly abstract composition. Zhu Rui, born 1970, is a young artist from Yunnan. His style is typical for the Yunnan Art School - thick oil-based inks, reduction woodblock prints and the influence of folk art of the ethnic minorites that can be found in the South of Yunnan province. In spite of his young age Zhu Rui has acquired the status of a leading Chinese artist. His art works are in several Chinese museums.

little famous in China. With exhibitions not only in China but in London, New York, Portland (USA) and Taiwan she may be already a bit too famous to be called an emerging artist. On May 16, 2009 started a solo exhibition with art prints by Luo Guirong, born 1962, at Panorama Gallery in Hangzhou, China. Two of the prints shown were sold in our auctions in 2007 and 2008 for one quarter of today's gallery price. All other prints that we then sold by Luo Guirong are no longer available today.
