Between 2007 and 2008 the young Chinese artist Xiong Xiqiu created a series of 4 silkscreen prints titled "Game". The art works are made in the style and technique of her former works "Summer Memories", "Cosmo Girl", "Super Girl" or "Thinking of my Love".

In 2007 Miss Xiong Xiqiu created two wonderful art prints titled 'Thinking of my Love'. The prints, made in silkscreen technique, are beautiful - kept in soft, pastel colors that underline the subject "Love".

The photograph shows Miss Xiong Xiqiu in 2005 at the 17th National Printmaking Exhibition in front of her two art works "Super Girl I" and "Super Girl II". Her two silkscreen prints mounted on a traditional Chinese scroll had been accepted for the 17th National Chinese Print Exhibition and had been published in the official catalog (page 101). A huge success for Miss Xiong Xiqiu.

The art of Ms. Xiong Xiqiu, born 1979, stands for a kind of Chinese pop art - upbeat, flashy, full of color and a bit sassy, but very likeable. In our view she represents a life style expression of today's young Chinese city generation who strives for a life of individual happiness and a Western way of life. The series 'Cosmo Girl' made her famous in the Chinese art scene.

From 2005 until 2006 Chinese contemporary artist Shi Yanqing (born 1979) created this series of 7 reduction woodblock prints titled "My Villagers". We regard this series as a milestone work of contemporary Chinese printmaking, and selected it for our virtual gallery of One Hundred Chinese Master Prints.

Fang Lijun belongs to the generation born during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Together with other Chinese artists he developed a style called "cynical realism". Today Fang Lijun's art works are bought for record prices at internationally renowned auction houses.

Zhou Lu has created a large series showing one or more bald-headed boys in a scene that is typical for today's China. Zhou Lu, born 1973, experienced as a small boy the era of the Cultural Revolution. He remembers the daily military-type physical exercises at nursery school and school, the omni-present Mao propaganda.
