Description From the series of 4 prints, "Tokei to Bijin, II" (Clock and Beauty, II) commissioned by the watchmaker Hotta. The series depicts various beauties and clocks, which had been progressively developed from the Edo to the different periods. --- Here, a lady in formal attire in Meiji period.
Signature "Shinsui ga".
Seal Artist's seal.
Publisher Commissioned by Hotta Watchmaker.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent - very good.
Colors Excellent ... Gold colored metallic pigments on the clock and obi.
Condition Very good ... Two drying holes on the left margin. Slight discoloration from the mounting residues on the backside.
