| Description |
Beautiful portraits of kabuki actors in watercolors. The ill fated lovers, Juhei and Koharu, in the play "Shinjuuten no Amijima". The play was about a young lovers, Jihei and Koharu, who could not be together due to the social and the political situations. When they saw no other way for their love, they commited suicide together. |
