Artist Paul Binnie born 1967
Description "Haru" ("Spring") from the series "Shiki" ("4 seasons").
This whole edition was commissioned by Bruce Tierney and Barry Stokes. The commission was placed under the condition to create a series of four elaborate bijin prints that a skilled artist could possibly create. The creation of "Shiki" was turned out to be expensive project because of the professional Japanese models and frequent travels by the artist between Tokyo, London and Tennessee (U.S.A.). The whole series was started in springtime of 2003 and could be completed in 2005.
'Spring' was the last of the 4 prints released.
Signature "Paul Binnie" in pencil on the lower margin. Artist's signature in Japanese character on the lower left.
Seal Artist's seal.
Dated 2003 - 2005.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent - very good.
Colors Excellent ... Silver colored metallic pigments for the rain and the artist's seal. Gold colored metallic pigment for the title and signature.
Condition Excellent - very good ... Slight creases on the top margin.
