Description Two mullard ducks are descending on a misty river. The full moon shines the ducks and creates silhouettes of the rush reeds growing in the murshy water.
Signature "Koitsu".
Seal Artist's seal (shin).
Dated 1940.
Publisher Doi Hangaten.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent ... Later printing probably in 1950 - 63. Embossed. Woodgrains visible on the background.
Colors Good ... Light yellow hue on the moon.
Condition Very good ... Lightly toned. Light discolorations and light foxing on the margins. Mat lines around the top and the right image edges. Slight creases on the upper sky.
