| Description |
"YuuFuji" ("Mt.Fuji in Evening Glow"). The panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, Japan's sacred mountain, in warm evening glow. People are enjoying the view and peaceful evening on a wooden boat landing.
Ryusei tries to create the thin, flowing lines of the ukiyo-e tradition. He has been working diligently for the art of carving wood blocks for decades. He produces only about 6 major works per year. |

| Note |
Ryusei Okamoto is in my view one of the best Japanese printmakers of his generation. His teacher, Toshi Yoshida, once said about his student: "Mr. Yoshimi Okamoto is unique, a fact which I would like the world to know." . |
