Description	A book page of the sketches from "Hokusai's Manga; Vol.12". "Hokusai Manga" has been one of the best known e-hon books in Japan. The each volume contains interesting, often whimsical sketches and illustrations of various subjects. It has been regarded as the first publication of the very popular "manga" genre. According to Jack Hillier, "Although no two translations of the word manga exactly coincide, we know perfectly well what it means from the archetype of all manga, Hokusai Manga. It means a multitude of drawings of a lively, sketch type, often presented in numbers on a single page, without any special order or intent, except to amuse and entertain...".
Dated	1814-1819 for first 10 volumes. The last 11-15 volumes in 1820-1878.
