During his life he had amassed one of the largest and best collections of shin hanga and other prints that the world has ever seen. This auction is especially strong in sosaku hanga - modern Japanese prints from the first half of the 20th century. And the auction offers some more special goodies - two rare and original Jacoulet prints consigned by a relative of the artist who had received the prints as a present from Paul Jacoulet.
