Akira Nakano was born in Asahikawa on Hokkaido Island. When he read Tomikichiro Tokuriki's book on woodblock prints, he was so fascinated that he started to make his own prints. Since the 1970s the artist has been represented in many one-man and group exhibitions in Japan. Besides the traditional woodblock, Akira Nakano uses also the silkscreen technique.

Buncho was a Samurai who started painting and printmaking. He was influenced by Harunobu. Favorite subjects were actors and "bijin" (beautiful women). In collaboration with Katsukawa Shunsho he produced three volumes of an illustrated book with stage celebrities.

Cheng Yongfeng was born in August, 1982 in Luliang County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. She graduated from Fine Arts Department of Qujing Teacher's College in printmaking major in July, 2005. Her print works have participated in Qujing fine arts exhibitions many times.

Chikanobu had studied under Tohohara Kunichika whose surname he took. Favorite subjects are historical scenes, female images and prints showing emperor and empress Meiji in an environment that documented the rapid progress in adopting Western technology and customs. Chikanobu had adopted some Western styles and techniques, but his subjects were rather retrograde.

Choko Kamoshita was born in Tokyo, but lived and worked in the old imperial city of Kyoto. He had studied Japanese-style painting at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts. The artist's favorite subject were bijin-ga - images of beautiful women.

Dai Jia was born in 1985 in Jiangxi province. In 2003, she began her printmaking studies at the printmaking department of CNAFA, Hangzhou. In 2007, she attended the exhibition of Graduates' Prints, and "88352 Print Exhibition for Seven Young Printmakers". Her teacher in woodcut printmaking is the great master Zhang Minjie.

Eiho Hirezaki was born in Tokyo and had studied Japanese painting and ukiyo-e printmaking. He worked as an illustrator for kuchi-e and for newspapers. Together with Kiyokata Kaburagi he had founded the artist association Ugokai. The favorite subjects of Eiho Hirezaki were Sumo Wrestlers.

Eiichi Kotozuka was born in Osaka and studied at Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. He made several series with famous landmarks in the Kyoto area and flower prints. Publishers were Unsodo and Uchida from Kyoto. In 1948 he was among the founders of Koryokusha company with Tomikichiro Tokuriki, Kamei Tobei and Takahashi Tasaburo. Koryokusha was founded to support Sosaku Hanga prints with money earned by the Shin Hanga print activities of Tokuriki Tomikichiro.

Eisen Tomioka was born in Nagano prefecture under the name of Hidetaro. He went to Tokyo to study drafting and was employed by the army as a civilian. Later he resigned from the army and became a full time illustrator. Most of his works were illustrations for newspapers, journals and books - called kuchi-e.
