The series was exhibited at the CNAFA, the Shanghai Art Gallery and is in the collection of CNAFA together with other drawings, paintings and prints by this young, emerging artist. TrainingMr. Zhao Qiangyun was born in 1983 in Zhouping city of Shandong province in China. He began his art studies at the renowned Chinese National Academy of Fine Arts (CNAFA) in 2003 and graduated from the printmaking department of this academy in 2007. Artist Statement"Every of us has a face. It is different because it smiles or is sad, virtuous or double-canted. We cannot well understand only by what we see in this fast developping world. It might be a bridge of our communication and also a puzzle of our dialog." "But after hundreds of years, it is just a symbol that we can use to distinguish who is who. Miss Li Mei is a famous Chinese artist and professor at CNAFA (Chinese National Academy of Fine Arts). "This series shows the young artist's desire for impressiveness and goodness in people's communications. Zhao Qiangyun has his special idea about life and people's relationships. By the fine technique of Chinese traditional woodblock printmaking, he shows his feelings from deep inside. It is a successful artwork."
