In July 2007 we received from our Chinese agent a number of inexpensive but stunning art prints created by young talented artists who recently graduated from a Chinese art academy. One of these emerging young "baby boomer" artists is Xie Hanqing.
Xie Hanqing was born in 1986 in Xi'An city of Shanxi province. She graduated from Printmaking Department of Fine Art Academy, Hunan Science and Technology University in 2007.
Chang'An is the old name for Xi'An, the hometown of the artist, Xie Hanqing. Chang'An was China's capital during the Tang Dynasty. The print expresses the longing for the old golden days and the prosperity of that period.
The print was created in conventional woodcut technique, printed with oil-based colors. The edition is very small with only 6 copies. The dimensions are quite large with 20.1 inches = 51.0 cm by 30.5 inches = 77.5 cm .
The images on this web site are the property of the artist(s) and or the artelino GmbH and/or a third company/institution. Reproduction, public display and any commercial use of these images, in whole or in part, require the expressed written consent of the artist(s) and/or the artelino GmbH. .
