In July 2007 we received from our Chinese agent a number of inexpensive but stunning art prints created by young talented artists who recently graduated from a Chinese art academy. One of these emerging young "baby boomer" artists is Xiao Fuping.

The images on this page are link-sensitive and take you to other articles or web sites in which you might be interested.

Education and Training

Xia Fuping was born in 1985 in Changzhi city of Shanxi province. He graduated from Printmaking Department of Fine Art Academy, Hunan Science and Technology University.

The young artist won the golden prize of the National Art Exhibition in Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Lu Xun's death. A selection of photographs and artworks was shown at the 5th National Art Exhibition for University Teachers and Students.

Xiao Fuping uses unusual titles for his works. We present two woodblock prints, "?! No. 1" and "JQ Time", both created in 2007.
