In October 2006, we at artelino received our first consignment of prints by Mr. Wang Yuhui.

They were all woodblock prints and mostly large in size. The artist uses oil-based inks. The paper is a pliable Chinese paper of middle thickness. The editions are very small, from 10 to 17 copies - so far not untypical for Chinese printmakers, who do not yet have a commercial market for art prints in China. It has not yet developed. The small edition sizes makes art prints by Wang Yuhui very interesting for collectors of contemporary Chinese art.

Among the consigned prints were two from a series called "Broken Glass". The woodblock print "The Broken Glass No.1" was selected for the 17th National Print Exhibition of China and was published in the official catalog on page 203.
