The series of oil paintings titled Accident is the result of a car accident that Mr. Wang Yuhui personally eye-witnessed. He saw fear, pain and helplessness. Shocked by what he saw, he felt an inner need to transform his feelings and own fears into this series of paintings. To keep the memory of the miserable accident scene as much bearable for him as possible, he does not draw human beings and real cars. He rather uses toy models and puppets and teddy bears instead of humans. The toy models are a signal for us humans to use the modern tools like cars that came with the new era in China with care and with respect for life and to cherish every being.
The series was painted in oil on canvas in the years 2007/2008. It consist currently of ca. 20 pieces. Most of the paintings are rather large with up to 200 by 250 cm (6.56 by 8.2 feet) and will look very impressive in your home when framed. We ship the canvas unframed and rolled in a very stable tube.
