Wang Kuiyong is a woodblock printmaker from Shandong province.
His prints have won a number of awards at Chinese exhibitions
and have been collected by Chinese museums. Mr. Wang Kuiyong
works mostly in black and white.
Education and Membership
Mr. Wang Kuiyong was born in Shandong province in 1970.
He finished his studies in Shandong Fine Art Institute in 1996.
Currently he is vice professor at Hunan Science and Technology University,
Fine Art department, a member of Hunan province's Artists' Association and of
Hunan province's Printmakers' Association.
Exhibitions, Awards and Collections

2001 - The print "Belief Changes" won the coppper prize of the
Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.

2001 - The print "Belief Changes" won the silver prize of the Prints Exhibition of
Hunan province in 2002.

2001 - The print "Belief Changes" was collected by
Century Memorial Gallery (Fine Art Newspaper).

2002 - The print "No Title" attended the National Art Exhibition in commemoration
of Chairman Mao's speech, organized by Hunan Artists' Association.

2002 - The print "In Front of the Mountains and behind the Mountains, there is
Always Landscape" won the exploring prize of the
6th National Universities' Prints Exhibition.

2004 - The print "Moving Melody" won the outstanding prize in the
2nd Hunan Art Stars Exhibition.

2004 - Four prints, one of them "Jackstraw-Moon Guard" were published in the
magazine Chinese Printmaking, no.23, ISBN 7-102-03072-X.

2005 - The print "Black Earth and Autumn Wind" was selected for the
10th National Art Exhibition of China.

2005 - The print "Black Earth and Autumn Wind" won the copper prize
in Hunan Exhibition.

2005 - The print "Black Earth and Autumn Wind" was collected by
Shenzhou Print Museum of Sichuan.

2005 - The print "Black Earth and Autumn Wind" was
published in the magazine Art Observation no.120.
