Wang Jiade, born 1940, is an artist of Beidahuang Art School from the early generation. He creates woodblock prints in the typical style of the artists grouped in Heilongjiang province in China. The focus is on the landscapes and the natural habitat of this former wasteland province in the far Northeast.
Mr. Wang Jiade was born in Changchun, Jilin province in 1940. He is a member of Chinese Printmakers Association and Chinese Artists Association. He is also a professional artist with the Heilongjiang Province Printmaking Institute.
Mr. Wang's artworks were selected for many national Chinese exhibitions. His artworks were exhibited and collected by different art museums and have been published in many magazines and newspapers.
The artist works in conventional woodblock technique. Favorite subjects are original landscapes showing the former wasteland of Heilongjiang province as it looked before it was transformed into farmland.
