Tong Jingfeng is a wonderful and great story teller who uses the technique of woodblock prints to get his message across. His stories are the glorified history of the Mongolian people from his view. But different from other artists, his focus is not narrowed to the period of Genghis Khan and his sons, but his images cover the history of Mongolia since the bronze age.

Tong Jinfeng's prints have received many prizes at art exhibitions and have been published in Mongolian magazines and newspapers. The artist has attracted some worldwide attention: His prints have been exhibited in Japan, the United States of America and in Korea.
Tong Jingfeng was born in 1963 in the Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia of China. He is of Mongolian descent. Currently he works as a teacher of fine arts at Jarud Banner Mongolian High School.
So far Tong Jinfeng has created ca. 300 art works. Many of them have been published in state newspapers and periodicals.
As most Mongolian artists, also Tong Jingfeng prefers the technique of the reduction woodblock print. His colors are bold and at the same time sometimes sober. Westerners might not be interested in the history of this astonishing people of grassland nomads. But it is hard not to be fascinated by the images of pugnacious warriors and wild horses as designed by Tong Jingfeng.
Unfortunately we do not have any precise data for the exhibition and awards milestones mentioned below. Many Asian people have different attitudes that do not necessarily correspond with Western documentation standards.
