In our company history of roughly 8 years only three art prints by Takeyoshi Nakayama have been consigned to us so far. Although the artist is well-known in Japan, his prints as well as any information about him are hard to find in the Internet.
The images on this page are link-sensitive and take you to other articles or web sites in which you might be interested.
Takeyoshi Nakayama studied under Baba Kashio. He has become well-known for his detailed city views showing crowds of people. Most of the works we have seen by Takeyoshi Nakayama are night scenes.
His prints are rather rare and information about him in the Internet or in publications in English are hard to find - as it is unfortunately the case for so many contemporary Japanese printmakers - no matter how good or famous they may be. A continuous nuisance for Western collectors.
Takeyoshi Nakayama has participated in the annual CWAJ print shows at the American Club in Toyko for roughly a dozen times.
