Mr. Lu Changqing's woodblock prints reflect the rich and unique natural landscapes and ethnic folklore of Guizhou province in China. There are many problems we have to deal with in the daily life. But when we look at the peaceful landscapes of Lu Changqing we could forget all the trouble for a moment and return to mind how happy life can be and how beautiful the world is.

About Lu Changqing

Lu Changqing was born in 1982 in Guizhou province in China. He graduated from the College of International Studies at Guizhou University.

The artist is a member of the Guizhou branch of the Chinese Artists Association and an executive member of the Council of Guizhou Youth Artists Association.

Exhibitions and Awards

The prints of Lu Changqing have been shown in many Chinese and international exhibitions and publications.

  • 2001 - The print "Hometown" was shown in the first Painting Biennial Exhibition in Guiyang.
  • 2004 - The artwork "Spring" was selected for the 10th National Art Exhibition in Chengdu and for the Print Academy Exhibition in Korea. In the same year his print "The Red Flags Flutter in the Breeze" and "A Page of History" were shown in the Guizhou Art Exhibition and collected by the Guizhou university.
  • 2005 - "Pretty Spring" won the silver prize in the 17th National Print Exhibition. And the artwork "A Memory of Autumn" won the excellent prize in the Guizhou Communication Cup Print Exhibition.
  • 2007 - "Spring Coming" was selected for the Guanlan International Biennial Exhibition in Shenzhen and afterwards collected by the local museum.
