Ji Xingdong is an artist from Inner Mongolia. His art prints are a bit different. He shows beautiful women, children and sometimes cows. His artworks are beautiful, charming and sometimes witty. The editions are very small and Ji Xingdong works in the technique of reduction woodblock prints. Art collectors, friends of Chinese and Mongolian art prints must simply like his works. Unfortuantely, we have little information about Ji Xingdong. But we have stunning print images to show!

Exhibitions and Awards

We have little information about the artist Ji Xingdong - a pity. His lovely print images make us curious to learn more about him.

1983 - The print "Reading" attended the Jirem League Print Exhibition at China Art Gallery.
1990 - The art work "Breath of Spring" won the bronze prize of the tenth national Chinese Print Exhibition.
1990 - The prints "Blue Sky" and "Breath of Spring" were selected for the the Fine Arts Exhibition in the Republic of Buryatiya, an Autonomous Republic of the former Soviet Union.
2003 - The print "Cloud of Hometown" attended the "Corporate ASIA Fine Arts Open Exhibition" of the Republic of Korea the East Asian Fine Arts Study Society as well as the Art Exhibition of the Operating Committee.
2004 - The print "Still Life" participated in the first "China Opus Exhibition of Hometown of Print" in Tianjin.

This Mongolian girl with her beautiful face and her long ponytail looks really cute. She looks back over her shoulder with a gentle smile. She is like a new branch in spring, full of vigor and hope.

This is one of our favorite prints at artelino. Different from the Japanese printmaking tradition, the depiction of beautiful women is rather rare among modern Chinese printmakers. A pity, we think!

Chinese like flowery words and the Chinese artists liek to choose flowery titles for their art works. But why not? This image can make you a bit dreamy, indeed.

The image shows us in an unusual and daring composition a beautiful young lady from an ethic minority of Inner Mongolia in traditional costume. She looks like she is daydreaming with her face up to the sky. Maybe she thinks of her family far away.

An elegant lady in a white dress sitting on a poplar at night. With closed eyes she seems to enjoy the soft wind. The artist used rolling lines to show the texture of the poplar and the dress of the woman.

The artist makes a bit of a joke with this composition. The still life shows the picture of a cow, stapled to the back of a chair. The milk of the cow drops trough a hose into a glass, which stands on the seat together with three oranges and a newspaper.
