From May 16 until July 17, 2007 an important international print exhibition took place in Shenzen, China - the "First International Guanlan Print Biennial 2007". This event exhibited 223 works chosen from 1,976 items submitted by 1,145 artists from 57 nations. Of these, 15 works have received the Guanlan International Print Award.

Success for our Artists from China
Many of the Chinese artists offered in artelino art auctions were represented in this prestigious art print show, and some of them were even among the few who received awards.
On this page we introduce a selection of the Chinese artists represented by artelino and in the Guanlan event. Regular bidders in our auction of Chinese art prints will probably recognize some of the works.

| Description | The girl shown is from the Miao nationality. They live in the west of Hunan province, the artist's homeland, and in the south-east of Guizhou province. The girl is dressed for a great occasion like a marriages or an important festival. Zhu Jianxiang told us that the printing process for this and similar prints of his is extremely demanding. It needs high technical skill. He can get only one good copy from 5 or 6 impression attempts. |

The natural habitat was affected by the land cultivation, but fortunately has not disappeared completely. |
