Genji monogatari, The Tale of Genji. Chapter 54: "Yume no Ukihashi". Prince Kaoru sent Kokimi, the younger brother of Ukifune, with his letter to her. But Ukifune did not want to see Kokimi saying, "The things in the past were like dream, there are no memory of them. Please go back with this letter. Probably it was meant for a different person.".
