This acordion type Japanese picture book is/was offered in artelino's fourth e-hon auction in September 2003. The picture album is titled Meiyo Ju-hachi Ban and has 18 diptych prints in oban size by Toshihide Migita (1863-1925).
The album opens from the right. It has altogether eighteen diptychs - nine on the frontside and nine on the backside. The album was produced with utmost care and is luxuriously decorated with embossing, metallic pigments and shomen-zuri.
Publisher was Akyama Buemon (Kokkeido). The album was published in 1902 after the single sheets and the frontpage had been continuously published since 1893.
