Mr.Wang Weide was born in 1944 in Guyuan city of Ningxia province. The artist specialized in oil paintings and in woddblock prints. Wang Weide is one of the leading Chinese artists in this field. His most recent success is the participation in the 11th National Art Exhibition of China which was held from September 28 until October 12 at the Art Museum of Jiangsu province, in Nanjing city.

A masterly made portrait of a woman in front of a haystack, with fine details. The artist Wang Weide, born in 1944 has experienced during his artistic career the phase of social-realism of the 1960s and the 1970s. He has developed a deep affection for the people living in the countryside.
