Although Chinese art prints have a long history, the era of modern Chinese art prints began roughly in the early 1980s when China began to open itself towards the world. Since then Chinese artists have created stunning works that are quite different from contemporary Japanese or Western art prints.

A Collection of Hundred Chinese Masterworks

artelino has been a pioneer in offering modern Chinese art prints since early 2003. But while contemporary Chinese paintings have begun to explode in the international art market around 2007, art prints by contemporary Chinese artists have remained a developing market.

With this page we want to show you some of the best (in our view) Chinese modern art prints. By and by we want to expand this selection to hundred prints. Each thumbnail on this page is meant to be linked to another page with a detailed description of the art work.

All works shown have been sold by artelino in the past. Most have been created by leading Chinese artists. But if we are convinced about the master character of an art print made by an unknown artist, we will not hesitate to include it here.
