Recent Exhibition and Sales Success for Zhang Biao

Zhang Biao, born 1971 and his artist partner Yu Xiangming had a successful exhibition of paintings at Beijing's renowned Today Gallery (opening March 21st).

The exhibition was titled "Longhuism". "Long" and "hu" are two different worms in the Chinese legend. Zhang Biao and Yu Xiangming combined them and created a new character image they call "Longhu". The Longhu animal has claws, wings, fins and palps and can fly in the sky and enter into the earth. About 70% of the art works were sold.

Four copies of Zhang Biao's art print titled Fang Fang were sold at another Beijing gallery for 40,000 RMB (about 5,865 USD). Zhang Biao is booked out for the coming months with many major national exhibitions.
