David Prentice was born in Hartford, Connecticut on December 22, 1943. He is an American artist who is working in Japan and does mostly oil-paintings. From 1962 to 1964 he studied at the Hartford Art School.

Doshun Mori was born in Takayama in Gifu prefecture. He had studied with Koshiro Onchi, the great mentor and artist of the sosaku hanga movement. Doshun Mori worked as a successful painter and printmaker with contributions to the official government-sponsored shows like Bunten. Main subjects of his prints were depictions of Japanese festivals and folk customs.

Hongnian Du is an artist of the era of Mao Zedong. He had joined the People' Liberation Army (PLA) in Nanjing in 1950. In 1956 Hongnian Du learned oil painting in Shanghai Youth Art Study Class. In 1958 Hongnian retired from the PLA and was sent to Heilongjiang province, at that time a huge development project to turn the wastelands into an agricultural area. In 1962 Hongnian Du became a member of the Artists' Association of Heilongjiang province. His works have been shown and awarded at national Chinese art exhibitions. During his lifetime his prints and paintings have been shown in Albania. Art works by Hongnian Du are in the collections of the National Art Museum of China.

Eiho Hirezaki was born in Tokyo and had studied Japanese painting and ukiyo-e printmaking. He worked as an illustrator for kuchi-e and for newspapers. Together with Kiyokata Kaburagi he had founded the artist association Ugokai. The favorite subjects of Eiho Hirezaki were Sumo Wrestlers.

Eiichi Kotozuka was born in Osaka and studied at Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. He made several series with famous landmarks in the Kyoto area and flower prints. Publishers were Unsodo and Uchida from Kyoto. In 1948 he was among the founders of Koryokusha company with Tomikichiro Tokuriki, Kamei Tobei and Takahashi Tasaburo. Koryokusha was founded to support Sosaku Hanga prints with money earned by the Shin Hanga print activities of Tokuriki Tomikichiro.
