"The Ten Views of Silk Road (Continued)". This series was a part of woodblock print project titled "One Hundred Views of Eternal China". The series was created between 1980 and 1986 as the result of an official Sino-Japanese project with the goal to enhance friendship and cooperation between China and Japan. For details of this ground breaking project, please read the related article. City of Xi'an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province. It was called Chang'an in ancient time. The tall pagoda was built in Tang dynasty. |
