"The Ten Views of Silk Road (Continued)". This series was a part of woodblock print project titled "One Hundred Views of Eternal China". The series was created between 1980 and 1986 as the result of an official Sino-Japanese project with the goal to enhance friendship and cooperation between China and Japan. For details of this ground breaking project, please read the related article. A dreamy depiction of Jiuquan (Fountain of Wine) in Gansu province. The glassy water surface reflects a small pavilion and trees on the bank. |
