"Snow on Crane Kiosk" According to old legends, there was a scholar named Lin Hejing during the Song Dynasty, who lived the life of a hermit on a solitary hill of the West Lake. He planted plum trees and fed two cranes. Lin Hejing regarded the plum trees and the cranes as his "family". The Crane kiosk was built where he fed the cranes according to the legend. |
