Description "Attention Sweet Words". He holds the lady close, whispering sweet words in her ear. The art of Yuji Hiratsuka is usually witty - and sometimes a bit enigmatic - synthesis of Eastern and Western culture. Yuji Hiratsuka was born in Japan, but has permanently settled in the U.S.A. in Oregon, where he teaches printmaking art at the University of Portland. His very distinctive prints are in the collections of numerous top museums such as Tokyo Central Museum, New York Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), Art Institute of Chicago, Library of Congress, the British Museum and the Achenbach Foundation in San Francisco.
Signature Signed, numbered and titled by artist in pencil.
Dated Late 20th century.
Medium/Technique Chine collé with etching.
Impression Printed by the artist on a thick, laid paper.
