Title	Ishikawa Goemon - Keisei Chigogafuchi
Artist	Yoshiyuki Nansui 1835 - 1879
Description	Unusual vertical chuban diptych (These panels are complete and meant to be viewed in this way). Robber Ishikawa Goemon is enjoying the scenery on top of a Temple gate. A bird brings him a message. Underneath, his arch-rival, Hisayoshi is at a water fountain in the play, "Keisei Chigogafuchi".
Signature	Yoshiyuki x 2.
Dated	Ca. 1850s.
Medium/Technique	Woodblock print.
Impression	Excellent ... embossed.
Colors	Excellent - silver and gold colored metallic pigments, shomenzuri patterns on Goemon's robe.
Condition	Very good ... panels pasted together, light metallic transfer stains on Goemon's face and hand, slightly soiled.
Note	Size of each panel : 185 x 250mm.
