| Description |
The spring festival is celebrated according to the lunar calendar at the end of January or early February in Mongolia. It is called "Tsagaan Tsar". During the festivities that extend over several days, family members are visited. The younger family members visit the older ones and offer them blue silk and other presents. A sheep is killed. Eating and drinking and chanting of old songs is the center-point of Spring Festival. |
