Description The water rapids in Shiobara in autumn. Shiobara in Tochigi prefecture is famous for its hot spring resort area around the Houki river and the valley.
Shiro Enami was in the same generation with Koshiro Onchi and Senpan Maekawa. They were in the midst of the new Sosaku Hanga movement, in which the artists emphasized on the printing as a method of creating art not mere a method of mass-production .
Signature "S. Enami" signed in pen on the lower margin.
Seal Aritst's seal (Shi).
Dated Ca. 1933.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Very Good.
Colors Very good.
Condition Very Good ... Slightly creased. Ink stains and slight soils on the margins.
