"Afterglow" Also this print, like the "Warm Winter" series, belongs into the category of the early artist's reduction woodblock prints. The print can be considered as rare. Li Yanpeng's ealier works are characterized by a reduced use of colors. By using less colors, the artist put more emphasis on creating moods by applying light and shadows on textures. The result is a landscape image of realistic, quasi three-dimensional impression. |
