| Description |
Nomi no sukuno (right) and Taima no Kehaya. This match has been regarded as the beginning of sumo wrestling in Japan. The print was designed for the special edition for sumo wrestling in Bungei Kurabu magazine. In the bottom inset; a part of the thick straw rope which defines the sumo ground, and a red and white pole which stands at the four corners of the sumo ring. |
