Description From the series, "Shin Nigao" (New Portraits). Sketches of five male actor's faces --- "Shin Nigao" was a short-lived magazine series started in 1915 for 5 issues. Several artists contributed to one or two prints for the series which showcased more individual approaches to the traditional actor's portraits.
Signature "haku" carved on the block, "Ishii Hakutei ga" printed on the presentation paper.
Dated 1915.
Impression Excellent - very good.
Colors Black and white.
Condition Excellent - very good ... slight toning; top edge pasted on the original presentation paper on which the name of the artist and the title were printed; creases and nicks on the right lower margin.
