The Ten Views of Jiangnan. This series was a part of woodblock print project titled "One Hundred Views of Eternal China". The series was created between 1980 and 1986 as the result of an official Sino-Japanese project with the goal to enhance friendship and cooperation between China and Japan. For details of this ground breaking project, please read the related article. Water canals in Suzhou province. The old saying "In heaven there's paradise, on earth there are Hangzhou and Suzhou". |
