Artist Hiroshige II Utagawa 1829-1869
Description "Meisho Edo Hyakkei" (One Hundred Famous View of Edo). "Akasaka Kiribatake" Paulownia field around the Tame-ike pond and the outer moat of Edo in the rain. One of the best design by Hiroshige II. Hiroshige I made another design for the Paulownia field at Akasaka in 1856.
Signature Nisei (2nd) Hiroshige ga.
Dated Original published in 1859, this one is a re-carved edition published in late 20th C.
Publisher Originally by Uoei. This one is by unknown publisher.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent - very good ... (re-carved edition).
Colors Excellent.
Condition Excellent - very good ... printer's crease on the right margin.
