Description From the series "Mitate Shichifukujin" (Allusion to the Seven Lucky Gods) "Shoshishin". Privately published for the Shippo poetry club. Bijin opens a box of sea bream which is the attribute of Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. Meiji A-copy surimono.
Signature Gakutei.
Dated Originally in Edo era. Meiji A-copy surimono published in early 1890s.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent .... Embossed.
Colors Very good ... Gold - brass colored metallic pigment.
Condition Very good ... Paper toned, slightly foxed and soiled. Backside rubbed.
