Title Rickshaw and Imperial Guards

Description Busy scene at the street in front of the Imperial Palace on the New Year's Day. Two imperial guards and two running "Jin-rikisha", which are pulled by man, are seen. The word, "rikisha" was adopted in English as "rickshaw". Two kimono clad girls are chatting holding hagoita on the back.
Signature "Beisen".
Seal Artist's seal.
Dated Ca. 1880 - 90s.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Very good.
Colors Very good.
Condition Excellent - Very good ... Slight toning. Minor foxing.
