Description "Biwa" Chinese-Japanese style lute with 4 strings. Ancient music instrument which was often used by blind ballad singers called "Biwa Hoshi". The most famous ballad was "The Tale of Heike". This print is a very rare first edition without the usual center fold for an album.
Seal Artist's seal (Bairei).
Dated Ca. 1890.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.

Colors Very good.
Condition Good ... light toning, lightly soiled on the back ground, thin areas.
